I successfully took the trip. The browsing and checkout process for the ticketing was very smooth although I had expected the currency to be in CAD. I had a suspicion it was in USD and of course that suspicion was confirmed when I saw the transaction go through. Having no familiarity with the bus operator or the app, I just took a risk and bought the ticket, so that part was fine. The pick up location was a bit strange considering my Uber driver told me the normal bus pick up was a completely different location, but I just followed the instructions of the app and noticed on the side wall of the store at the location there was a sticker of the Tour operator. That was a good sign. The bus was supposed to leave at 6:30 AM and the app said to be there 15 minutes early. So I got there early and was hassled by a lot of homeless people looking for money. The van showed up five minutes late but up until then, I thought maybe they would not show up and had a bad feeling about the whole thing. I tried to ask the support bot for more information, but the bot would not figure any of my details out even after I provided my confirmation numbers and credit card numbers. Maybe it had something to do with Apple Pay. Anyways, I was getting ready to bail and buy a rail ticket when the bus showed up. So the suggestion is to increase the details on the physical sign at strange pick up location and put some more reassuring statements on that sign other than just the logo of tour operator and mirror that detail on the ticket.

This was the single worst car trip I’ve ever been on. The van had no suspension so every single crack in the road was felt in my spine and skull, the driver drove like an absolute manic (I’ve never been car sick in my entire life until this trip), someone was eating fast food in the van the entire drive so it stunk. The driver wouldn’t follow the gps directions and drove us all around the airport stop taking the longest and least efficient way possible, and then did the same thing through downtown Montreal to get to the drop off address. I will never ever ride with tour express again and I will advise anyone who is considering taking a bus anywhere to avoid it at all costs.
