Balut receives praise for its comfortable buses and punctual service, with several users noting the good driving skills of their drivers. However, some reviews mention issues such as broken seats that couldn't be adjusted and limited communication from staff. Additionally, there were concerns about toilet facilities not being fully functional during longer trips.

For my 4.5hour journey I had a broken seat, the back was almost horizontal. I mentioned this to the conductor and he was ambivalent, bordering on rude. Clearly it’s a regular occurrence on their buses! Additionally having been on several buses recently this was the dirtiest by far. I won’t travel with this company again.

It was easy to find the bus station, we left (almost) on time, and the seats were fine. The only thing we didn't like was that we chose our seats ahead of time but got assigned random seats anyways. They also charged us (twice) for luggage storage on the bus.
