Book Rio Uruguay Bus Tickets

Ik kwam ruim op voorhand aan bij de terminal maar daar werd ik niet echt geholpen. Er werd mij 2 maal gezegd dat ik op de bank moest wachten maar toen in nogmaals ging vragen hoe ik nu wist wanneer mijn bus nu kwam bleek die intussen toch net vertrokken te zijn zonder mij. Desondanks waren ze nadien heel behulpzaam en bracht een andere bus mij naar de bus war ik op moest die stond ondertussen langs de kant van de weg te wachten. Nadien verliep de rit heel vlot en de stoelen waren comfortabel genoeg. Het was ook heel aangenaam dat er water en snacks werden aangeboden. Verder s er ook wifi a boordt wat de rit ng aangenamer maakte.

The initial part of our journey was a little tense as our seats were not what we had booked. We later found out that rather than it being a direct service, we changed buses after 5 hours. The bus we transferred to had the seats we had booked. It was difficult as we do not speak Spanish so could not understand but this is not the fault of Rio Uruguay. However it would have been good to communicate, prior to the trip, the fact that we would change buses as it is unusual to do so. The drivers on the second bus were very pleasant and did their best to help us understand our journey. The seats were quite comfortable. We would not recommend seats 31 & 32 as they are right next to the toilet and the door kept opening and banging. The toilets could have done with a clean part way through the journey.

The departure and arrival were late, but instead of that everything was good

Thouroghly disappointed. Disaster. For whatever reason, the Rio Uruguay employees managing the bus, told everyone to get off at Posadas - about halfway through the trip. Several did - including us - about a dozen did not. We should have known better. I asked to confirm and was told the bus was filthy and needed to be cleaned so we would be transfered to another bus. I asked where and was told "this same location" or platform of the station. I asked about transfering our checked luggage and was told they would handle it. 20 minutes later - no bus. I did not see any of the other travelers who got off. We found the Rio Uruguay office and discovered the new bus had left without us. Fortunately the local personnel were very helpful - including the fellow in the Rio Uruguay shipping office who got us over the the ticket/customer service office. They tracked our luggage - "you'll have to get it from our office in Iguazú" upon arrival. They booked us on another bus from Posadas to Iguazú - unfortunately, it was leaving over three hours later. It was also more like a commuter bus - stopping frequently. We finally reached Iguazú at 11:20 PM - six hours behind our original schedule. Luckily they did have our bag and a tazi (very pricey) was available and we made it to the hotel before they closed our check-in window (midnight). We are not sure we will ever get on a Rio Uruguay bus again. We already have our return booked so we will see how that goes. We for sure will not get off their bus until at our destination. Travelers beware.

The trip was very comfortable all the way from Iguazu to Buenos Aires

No water in toilet, neither to flush, nor to wash hands. Seatbelts not in order. Arrival more than 2 hrs late.
