It was overly hot, ran late, and to make up time...driver skipped refreshment stops. I had to literally beg to be allowed off to use a garage station, as the bus ablution was so unsanitary. I was on my monthly menstrual cycle and I began bleeding through my clothes. I was humiliated and felt like a prisoner. There were many stops along the way where we as passengers were not permitted off, but the drivers made a random stop in the middle of nowhere to investigate a trailer of goats and allowed a woman to change her baby's diaper on the ground side road, in the dark. Me and my fellow passengers were appalled. It got worse. Bus 910 Midrand to Grahamstown.

The bus driver was a bit agitated, as we had gone to the ladies, and when we came out the bus was already there. The driver then proceeded to shout at me and my daughter, that we should be standing waiting for the bus to arrive and not running around. I found his manner quite aggressive. The gentleman who assisted us in putting our luggage into the under carriage was more friendlier.

It was disappointing that no information was given about changeover in Rotunda Johannesburg central. With such mess and confusion the airway strike would have been a better option to face. Also - to find this specific Engen was a mission and 087 could not help. There are two Engens at New road. My sister from Springs had to ask several places. I phoned Greyhound twice. The 011 number knew to say Big bird 1 as well and that actually helped to find the place please add Big bird 1. Moinor issues were the rattling window and no blankets (aircon on cold) and now i am coughing.
